Impacts, risks, and opportunities related to human rights
The production of our main equipment is outsourced to selected suppliers in Denmark, Sweden, and Poland. To a large extent, this means that we have some certainty in the regulations in terms of working environment and human rights. However, despite only working with direct suppliers within the EU and the UK, we are aware that along the supply chain, there is a risk of human rights and workers’ rights being violated.
Production is a field of work that can be dangerous in terms of safety and sometimes also hazardous in terms of health. Our main risk is identified to be human rights and workers’ rights at the levels of our supply chain beyond tier 1.
Supply chain management
We only work with large, widely recognized component suppliers for our sourced components and equipment, trusting to some extent that they take responsibility for ensuring human rights in their supply chains.
We visit our suppliers on a continuous basis and to the extent that it has been possible due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, we have continued to do this in 2022.
Our standpoint
At FOM Technologies, we are committed to respecting human rights and acknowledging and complying with the requirements of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and ensuring that no part of the company is complicit with any human rights abuses. We want to ensure that all people are treated with respect, within our company and outside of it at all stages of our value chain.
